Yuvra Singh clueless about Pune Warriors
Pune Warriors suffered their seventh successive loss in the ongoing Indian Premier League. The Mumbai Indians thrashed Pune Warriors comprehensively in the 44th IPL game at DY Patil Stadium on May 4, 2011.
Pune skipper, Yuvraj Singh, has stated that he is clueless about the cause of his team’s continuous poor performance in the ongoing competition.
Put into bat first, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tirumalasetti-Suman-c2685 in the death overs.
In response, Yuvraj and men could only manage to reach 139 for 7 in the allotted quota of 20 overs.
Although, the opener Manish Pandey smashed a thrilling half-century, the Pune middle-order collapsed in front of quality bowling from Lasith Malinga and Harbhajan Singh.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Robin-Uthappa-c2356 gave his side some hope later in the innings by hitting an unbeaten innings of 34 runs but he was unable to take his team home single-handedly.
With just four points in the nine matches, the Warriors are languishing at the bottom of the points table and their play-offs are almost over.
The only satisfaction for Pune in the game against Mumbai was the splendid bowling performance of Rahul Sharma. Sharma returned with outstanding figures of 2 for 7 in four overs.
"I got Sachin out. That was great but unfortunately lost the game. I really don`t know what`s happening. I think we bowled decent enough. May be 10 runs extra but 160 was gettable," Yuvraj said.
Yuvraj put it in simple words, saying that the batsmen should have taken more responsibility as they played sluggishly in the middle overs.
The skipper also made it clear that loss has put his team into a do-or-die situation as they have to win every remaining game for staying alive in the tournament.
"We played too many dot balls. You need power hitters in the end to finish the game. Unfortunately we got too bogged down. We have nothing to lose now; so I am sure we will cut somebody (some team) out," said the boisterous Yuvi.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj hopes that the team would roar back in the tournament and regain lost respect by winning the rest of the matches.
