The star Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, asserts that Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221, as a potential opponent in their upcoming series, which includes 3 Tests and 5 ODIs, starting from November 6, 2011.
Singh has lavished praise on Gayle for his tremendous heroics in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Champions League T20 tournaments, claiming that the dashing opener ‘scared the bowlers’.
Talking to the media today, Yuvraj said, “He has scared all the bowlers in T20. A player like him is an asset for any side. He is a great guy to interact with. So, we will miss him as an opponent.”
Representing Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gayle demonstrated fabulous batting knocks on the Indian soil in two high-profile T20 events. However, the veteran batter, like the last two series, has again been overlooked by his national selectors for the Indian
tour due to his rift with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 Cricket Board (WICB).
Yuvraj also predicts that the Caribbean pacers will pose a big challenge to the Indian batsmen. He told, “Their fast bowlers are going to be the main opponents and it will be a challenge to face them.”
The all-rounder is hopeful of the debutant Indian spinner, Rahul Sharma’s excellent performances in the series, which he thinks, will be a warm-up event ahead of their significant tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
“http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861. Whenever I threw the ball to him, he got me a wicket and he is also very economical,” stated Singh.
Yuvraj also expects the only specialist Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh’s comeback in the team in near future. He stated, “He has played 98 Tests and picked up over 400 wickets, so he is experienced enough to put all this behind him and comeback into the
team.”
After skipping the last home series against the English, Yuvraj has rejoined the team to show his guts against the Windies.
The 29-year-old played an instrumental role with both bat and ball in the Men in Blue’s glorious victory in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011, earning the Man of the Tournament title.
The left hander has 35 Test, 274 ODI and 23 T20I matches to his name.
