Pune Warriors skipper, Yuvraj Singh, has confirmed that former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly will participate in his team’s next Indian Premier League contest against Deccan Chargers today, May 10, 2011.

However, the Pune management did not include Ganguly in the squad for the last two games. The coach, Geoff Marsh, later clarified, saying that it was Ganguly’s own decision.
The Warriors are currently languishing near the bottom of the points table. After suffering seven consecutive defeats, the Warriors eventually broke their losing streak by defeating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 in their previous game on May 8, 2011.
The Pune team reached the 150-mark only thrice so far in the tournament and he prime cause for their fall seems to be the lack of experience in the top-order.  
Although, the Warriors are already out of the play-off race, it is being considered that Ganguly’s inclusion will give them a supporting hand in the batting department.
Yuvraj described that the chances of Ganguly playing today against DC are very bright.
"He (Sourav) will be playing in the next game," Yuvraj said on eve of the game.
The Pune captain had earlier explained that Ganguly did not participate in the last couple of games as he required more time to settle down.
"I have never seen him prepare like this even for for a Test match," Yuvraj added.
Responding to a question about his team’s poor run in their debut IPL campaign, the classy left hander said, "The talent is definitely there and the team could have won three more games. But that`s the way Twenty20 is and hopefully, we should be able to
win our remaining four games."  
Both Pune Warriors and Deccan Chargers are already out of the play-off race. The result of the clash between them will affect their standing much, however, both sides will be playing in order to redeem some pride and respect.
