India’s middle-order batsman, Yuvraj Singh, has been given the Arjuna Award, which is an Indian government honour in recognition of outstanding performances in sports. The 30-year-old batsman expressed on the occasion that it is an
extremely proud moment for him and claims that the award will motivate him to perform well in the upcoming ICC World T20 2012, which will commence next month in Sri Lanka.
"It's a special award for me," Yuvraj said. "I had been nominated few times but finally I got it this time. It's a proud moment for me and my family. The award will give me a lot of confidence to make a comeback and perform well."
