Yuvraj Singh slips to Grade 'B' contrary to Suresh Raina
The Board of Control of Cricket in India has demoted out-of-favour middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh’s central contract, while promising youngster Suresh Raina has climbed a step above on the ladder. The Gradation Committee of the Board
of Control of Cricket in India, in its latest meeting held today, has handed out a degrading to the detested Indian middle-order batsman from Grade 'A' to Grade 'B'.

The Group B of contracted players has got six other players alongside Yuvraj Singh, while the third and the least paid Group C contains seven players.

the period 1st October 2010 to 30th September 2011 is:
Grade A - Rs. 1 Crore
Grade B - Rs. 5 million
Grade C - Rs. 2.5 million
While the match fee for the playing XIs has been set according to the game format. Each Test match would earn Rs. 7 lakhs to every member of the playing XI, while each One Day Internationals and T20 International would add 4 lakhs and 2
lakhs, respectively to their accounts. While the match fee for non-playing squad members would be 50% of respective game format.
If a non-contracted player is picked up to play for the national side, he will be given a proportionate contract in the Grade C.
