India’s flamboyant all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, has started a cricket academy which will provide youngsters an opportunity to polish their skills.
Named as Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE), the academy will be a great place to learn for the young legs from the National Capital Region of India.
At the time of the launch, Yuvraj said that it was his dream to establish a centre for the guidance of youngsters, hoping that his academy will produce some good cricketers who can serve the national side in the near future.
"I very strongly believe that education and sports go hand in hand which help in building strong characters and leaders. Formal education with the joy of learning combined with sports will establish a long lasting and perfect partnership," said Yuvraj in
a press release.
The 29-year-old cricketer is a pure example of India’s young talent, as he captained India Under-19s before reaching the International stage. Yuvraj is currently out of action following a finger injury which he suffered during the just-concluded series against

The middle-order batsman has been a great performer for India over the years but the spotlight of Yuvraj’s career was his fabulous show of skills during http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011, in which the Chandigarh-born all-rounder won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award.
Yuvraj’s academy will work in an association with Pathways World School. Talking about the academy’s future plans, the director of Pathways World School, Praveen Jain, expressed his delight over getting a chance to work with the Indian superstar.
He also shared that his organization and Yuvraj are determined to provide world-class facilities to youngsters, as it will not only help improve the level of domestic cricket, but also assist in grooming talented cricketers for national obligations.
"We believe in giving something different and extra to the young generation, and having someone like Yuvraj on the premises will be great source of encouragement and motivation to the youngsters," added the director, Jain.
