Yuvraj recalls 2011 World Cup memories - Cricket News Update

Yuvi, who has not played international cricket since last November after undergoing a surgery for a malignant tumor, was declared as the Player of the Series for his outstanding all-round displays throughout the tournament.
On the first anniversary of the mega triumph, the 30-year-old expressed his gratification over his crucial performances during the World Cup campaign, which came after he had endured a lean patch with the national team, and termed them as the proudest moment
of his cricketing career.
"Couldn't have asked for anything better. I was coming with not great form and I wasn't timing the ball how I wanted to,” said the all-rounder.

Yuvraj added that lifting the World Cup was important for many reasons, the foremost being, winning it for Tendulkar, who had inspired everyone to perform at their utmost best.  
The all-rounder also took time to thank Zaheer Khan, after the spearhead pacer further backed him to come good in the World Cup.
