Yuvraj Singh talks about his emotional experience with Cancer - Sports News Update

it was not an easy fact to accept, when he was diagnosed with serious illness.
"Initially it was hard to accept that a guy like me who is training six to seven hours a day, running around all the time as an athlete, can get diagnosed with something like this," told Yuvraj. "It took a long time to sink in but eventually I made peace
with it. I knew I have an issue and I have to sort it out," the batsman added.
Yuvraj acknowledged the outpour of support he received from friends, family and fans, which helped him to keep his spirits high during his recovery, while adding that it was their love and wishes which made him come back from a serious condition.
“The support was overwhelming, especially from India. One of the students from a college in Indianapolis came to see me and I felt like I was in India,” the 30-year-old said.

In February, the Indian batsman was diagnosed with "mediastinal seminoma" a type of cancer which had a germ-cell tumour between his lungs. He underwent treatment in an Indianapolis medical centre that also treated the cycling great Lance Armstrong in 1996
Yuvraj returned to India in April after a successful treatment, where he is currently recuperating.
