Yves Edwards vs Tony Ferguson – TUF 14: Preview
Two rising fighters will compete against each other in a battle of nerves on December 3, 2011. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) will hold its 14th edition of the event in December where Yves Edwards will battle against Tony
Ferguson. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has scheduled the match between a mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Edwards and his opponent, Ferguson, who won the 13th edition of the TUF.
TUF 14 will take place in Las Vegas at The Pearl and the Palms Casino Resort, where the two strongest fighters will use the octagonal fight ring to throw their punches and kicks for supremacy. Ferguson, who made the lightweight
debut in March 2010 against David Gardner, won The Ultimate Fighter’s 13th edition by beating Ramsey Nijem in the season finale.
Yves and Ferguson are long time MMA fighters who have shown aggression in the fighting ring. Their match record also explains their experienced career. Entering into the fight, Edwards, has won 41 fights, lost 17 and one fight
was drawn. In September 2010, Edwards made a return to the UFC ring against John Gunderson and won the bout with a unanimous decision. He overshadows Ferguson by miles when it comes to his win/loss ratio in the MMA division. 27-year old Ferguson has won 13
matches, lost 2 and none of his fights were drawn.
Edwards would have an obvious upper hand for his knowledge of the fighting ring.  This year Edwards has won two of his three fights. He won the fight against Cody McKenzie in January 2011 at UFC: Fight of the Troops 2. He then
lost at UFC 131 against Sam Stout in June 2011. Edwards was successful in beating Rafaello Oliveira at the UFC Live event in October 2011.
On the other hand, Ferguson will enter the fight with a five match-winning streak under his belt. Ferguson has not lost a fight since December 2009 until his last fight in September 2011. He was sheer brutal and aggressive in his
fight against Aaron Riley at UFC 135 this year in September where he won the match through a technical knockout (TKO) and only after the doctor interfered as Riley lost a huge amount of blood.
Both fighters would be motivated with their own past performances. Edwards will get the confidence with his large number of wins against Ferguson. His ability to find his opponent’s weakness and use them for his advantage will
also give Edward the momentum to keep a steady pace in the match, as Ferguson will have some weak spot. Ferguson, on the other hand, will use his wrestling and boxing style to punch his way to a win. Both fighters will be ruthless in their encounter and blood
is certain to stain the ring.
