Today I was listening to Z100 and listening to J.Lo's and Ja Rule's "I'm Real REMIX". The part where Ja Rule says the 'n' word wasn't blocked and I heard it clearly. Should I call em and complain??

  1. Just for the record, since there could be other cities with a Z-100, I would think you are mentioning WHTZ, Z-100 a Top 40/CHR station in New York City.

Regarding this issue, you could complain about it to management at the station (the link is posted below).  Not to belittle this though, luckily you weren't tuning in to Hot 97 (WQHT) or Power 105.1 (WWPR) since they would have the n word (with "ga" at the end) come up PLENTY when playing hip-hop tracks there.

  2. I'd complain, keep them aware that people don't need to hear it. You're lucky, I live in Germany I get to hear the N-word, the F-word, and tracks that would never be played in the states.

  3. that do that all the time one time had Green Day  Bloked the **** the f word it suck i hate xD

  4. Probably because most people don't see it as 'complaint worthy' and have more important things to worry about in life than some irrelevent radio station playing some irrelevent instantly forgettable c**p.

  5. No one is complaining as some people like unedited music like myself...

My guess is someone used a song they got on the station and didn't do a check before allowing it to air.

Want to complain?  Call the station's business office Monday morning and let them know.. they may not realize that went over the air. Also the FCC won't jump on it unless it gets complaints... It will act only on consumer complaints and if no one calls the FCC, it won't be reported.

Also the Djs sometimes have a habit of doing creative editing... Leave the first half and second half of the word intact but eliminate the middle.. If you know the word, the mind connects it for you but little kids not knowing the word it won't connect for them.

  6. because people like the un edited play rather then the radio play

    regards x kitti x
