  1. i've found that toothpaste doesn't work. just use frozen lemon juice (not lemonade) or ice and lemon juice. the lemon juice will get rid of the redness, and the ice will take down the swelling. if you use tooth paste leave it on for 30 minutes max.

  2. toothpaste has worked for me before, but not every time, if u do use it, it has to be the paste kind not the gel. just put it on the zit, not all over your face, and i would leave it on for an hour or two, it wont eat your skin off or anything, all it does is draw the oils out of the zit

  3. Use an ichthyol ointment... it does wonders.

  4. Considering the chemicals contained in conventional toothpastes, I wouldn't even put that stuff in my mouth, let alone anywhere near my skin.

If it's a p***y zit, get rid of the pus (hot water soak) and clean it with sea salt in water, if you have handy, otherwise just water. Then apply pure aloe vera (preferable fresh from the plant). Aloe vera is absolutely amazing at healing. Trust me. Leave it to do it's magic for a bit, then after a few minutes, your zit will try to crust over again. Clean it again and apply more aloe. Repeat once more, and by the third application of aloe, just leave it to heal overnight and by morning it'll have almost completely disappeared.
