Zab Judah challenges Amir Khan to a $100,000 bet for knocking him out in 12 rounds – Boxing news
The current International Boxing Federation’s light welterweight champion Zab Judah has challenged the World Boxing Association World Super Lightweight champion Amir Khan to a $100,000 bet.
Judah believes he will knockout the Bolton boxer, Khan, within 12 rounds and therefore is ready to put a huge amount of money on the line.
Zab ‘Super’ Judah, who will step in the ring against Amir ‘King’ Khan on July 23, 2011 in a unification bout in Las Vegas, while speaking on his inclusion said, “100k, let’s do it boy. This is big boy games now, let’s play!”
Meanwhile 24-year-old Khan, who has won 25 of his 26 fights including 17 by the way of a knockout, responded with laughter. He replied by saying he would have said the American pugilist Judah to put his entire purse on the line, provided if he was not broke.
He added Judah was nothing more than a stepping-stone for him and his win over him will open the door for the big fights.
“Haha, if you wasn’t broke, I would say put all your purse on the line. But now, I want you to get paid. Super Judah will be a stepping stone and the win beckons greatness and bigger fights in the future. I’ll sort the old man out. I promise I will take
home the belt,” said Khan.
The Brit then claimed he has a winning combination with Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza, who was fired by him earlier this year after having a six-bout workout. Khan said Ariza and him have both put everything behind and are looking forward towards winning
the fight.
“We’ve put it all behind us,” said Khan. “Alex apologised for what he said. We’ve got a winning team. Freddie Roach, Alex and me work well together. I feel fit and strong with Alex.”
Let’s see who comes out on top in the bout set to take place in just over a month’s time.
