Zab Judah in talks with 50 cents for fight promotion – Boxing News
Previously it was Floyd Mayweather, who was looking forward to use 50 Cents as his promoter, and now it is Zab Judah, who wants the rapper to be on his side.
Judah will be fighting next for the junior welterweight title, as he is the number one contender. Judah is confident of winning the title, and he wants 50 Cents to be his promoter, who will be part of TMT Promotions owned by Floyd Mayweather.
In an interview with ESPN.com, Judah revealed, “I just left 50. He's a very interesting person. I've spent a lot of time with him when he was in (Las) Vegas (where Judah lives). We've been friends. I've been knowing 50 for a long time. His brain for business
is phenomenal. We met Monday and (Tuesday). When you're doing big things it takes time. Anything that comes fast is not worth it. We're planning on doing it big.”
Judah revealed he has been in talks with 50 Cents in New York. According to him, he spoke to the rapper on Monday and Tuesday to negotiate a deal.
“I like what 50 brings to the table. It's a great game plan. I think it will be a very good situation that will play out in boxing. It'll be something new and fresh,” Judah added who is excited upon hearing 50 Cents’ proposal.
When asked about as to why he is opting for Cents’, Judah replied saying he is a free agent and he believes TMT is the ideal place for him.
It should be noted here that TMT Promotions has already signed top fighters such as Yuriorkis Gamboa, former featherweight titlist, Andre Dirrel, super middleweight contender and Billy Dib, featherweight titleholder.
Earlier this month, 50 Cents tweeted regarding his deal with the WBC welterweight titlist Floyd Mayweather jr. for promoting his events.
When asked about the scenario, Judah replied, “The team is phenomenal. It's gonna be a dream team to have Zab Judah, Floyd Mayweather, Dirrell, Gamboa, Dib all in one circle.”
Judah refused to comment over 50 Cents’ promotional plans. According to him, he is unsure if he can let it out of the bag.
