Zab Judah reckons Freddie Roach not going bring Manny Pacquiao after he defeats Amir Khan
The current International Boxing Federation’s light welterweight champion, Zab Judah, says the Irish-American trainer Freddie Roach is never going to put his best fighter Manny Pacquiao in the ring against him after the July 23, 2011 bout.
Zab ‘Super’ Judah, who is set to meet the World Boxing Association’s light welterweight champion Amir Khan for a unification bout next month at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, has claimed he is going to outclass his 9-year younger opponent easily.
The 33-year-old American pugilist Judah, who has won 41 of his 49 fights including 28 by the way of a knockout, told the media it is going to be a nightmare for King as he is going be a hungry lion that day. He added Khan would also know it as soon as the
first bell rings.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I plan to be his (Amir Kahn's) worst nightmare. After this fight I plan on Team Kahn having a 62 hour watch on Amir Kahn. I plan on being the Freddie Kreuger of his dreams. I plan on being Freddie Kreuger to Freddie
Roach. I'm pretty sure after this fight Freddie Roach would never put his golden boy and marquis fighter, which is Manny Pacquiao, against me in the ring.”
Judah also commented on his trainer Pernell Whitaker, who is a former WBA World Light Middleweight champion, WBC World Welterweight champion, IBF World Light Welterweight Champion, WBC World Lightweight Champion, WBA World Lightweight Champion, IBF World
Lightweight Champion and the NABF Lightweight Champion.
Judah stated Freddie Roach might be a good trainer but he was not a very good fighter in his prime whereas Whitaker is not only a masterful trainer but an excellent fighter as well. Therefore, Judah reckons he has an added advantage over his opponent.
“Now I am alive and alert and I have the great Pernell Whitaker in my corner. Having him in my corner exempts the whole Freddie Roach thing,” said Judah.
