Zab Judah says Golden Boy Promotions is sacrificing Amir Khan – Boxing news
The International Boxing Federation’s Light Welterweight Champion Zab Judah is pretty confident ahead of his bout and reckons Golden Boy Promotions is sacrificing the current World Boxing Organisation’s World Super Lightweight Champion Amir Khan by putting
him against him on July 23, 2011.
Zab ‘Super’ Judah is scheduled against Amir Khan in a 12-round World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation World Championship Unification fight next month at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
The 33-year-old American pugilist Judah admitted Amir Khan, who is widely known as the ‘King Khan,’ is a good boxer but on the same note, he told the media he has been sacrificed by Golden Boy. He added Khan will also come to know it as soon as the first
bell rings.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “For the most part it unifies the division; it's a closer step to undisputed. I also think Amir Kahn is a good boxer. He has fast hands, decent power, but I think it's a sacrifice move what Golden Boy did here with
Amir Kahn, and I think he (Kahn) will realize this once the bell rings.”
Judah continued spicing up the things and stated since he is from Brooklyn city therefore he does not bother about any hardships.
“I'm from Brooklyn, I don't have problem taking the long, hard, grinding road. I wasn't the golden boy. I wasn't the guy always in the light, the guy always first picked, but somehow I made my way back to the top with the thanks of Main Events and Super
Judah Promotions,” he said.
The Khan-Judah bout has really created a lot of hype ahead of the fight and it is being considered that this fight between two of the boxing’s best is going to be an absolute classic.
Let’s see whether Judah can really see off his 9 year younger opponent in his own country in just under a month’s time.
