Zab Judah says he is is ready for the fight but Amir Khan is new to the pressure – Boxing News
The International Boxing Federation’s light welterweight champion, Zab Judah, reckons the reigning World Boxing Association’s World super lightweight champion, Amir Khan, will be under a lot of pressure on fight night.
The Super Zab Judah and Amir ‘King Khan’ Khan will be one-on-one inside the ring this weekend on July 23, at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for their 12-round WBA and IBF Super Lightweight World Championship unification bout and Judah thinks he
will wallop the Brit.
The 33-year-old American pugilist Judah told the media he is very excited to take on Khan in his native country. Judah knows it is Khan’s biggest fight so far and he will be under a lot of pressure. Judah stated he has been to big stages before whereas Amir
Khan has not and this will be an added advantage for him.
Judah has won 41 of his 49 bouts including 28 by the way of a knockout but still he will enter the ring as an underdog, as many people think he is an old fighter now.
Judah remarked it has been a long time since he turned professional and lifted the championship belt. Therefore his experience will be a big plus point for him.
“I'm ready and I'm excited. I'm very blessed to be back in this position. I know Amir Khan and Team Khan have prepared themselves for a war. I just think that over the years of me being in this position, I'm prepared for Saturday night. I'm prepared for
what's gonna happen. Amir Khan is new to this situation. He's a young guy.”
“People have been getting this stuff about Zab Judah, 33 years old, is an old fighter, mixed up. What you gotta understand is that I turned professional at 18 years old. I was champion by 20 years old and I reigned ever since.”
All that is left to see is whether Judah can really see off Khan in the ring Saturday. Keep checking back for updates during and after the fight.
