“I’m looking forward to it”, Bogosian said Tuesday in Ottawa. “I’ve never been there so I can’t comment on the city, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about the city. I’m looking forward to going there”.
Selected as the third overall pick in round-one of the 2008 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft by Atlanta Thrashers, Zach Bogosian remained one of the clubs most consistent and reliable players over the span of nearly three seasons.
Massena, New York, United States native, is currently training in Ottawa and is certainly hopeful of another season with the same team, under the new Winnipeg Jets banner and having a Canadian crowd in the stadium makes the game-play all that more exciting.
“Sometimes (it was tough in Atlanta), especially when you played against teams like Toronto or Pittsburgh”, Bogosian said. “They had more fans in the stands than we did. It was tough, but you have to know it’s your job to go out there and give it your best”.
Bogosian only appeared in 47 games with Atlanta Thrashers and managed to put up 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) along with finishing up with a plus-minus rating of 11.
