Williams in Boston’s loss
Mo Williams tied his season high 28 points as the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Boston Celtics to a 108-103 loss at Boston. The player recorded the best game ever since being traded to the Clippers; he fueled up his team’s offence before intermission and
scooped out nine points in the very first quarter. He went 3-for-4 from the long range taking 18 points to the locker room.
Boykins- Milwaukee Bucks
Earl Boykins scooped 18 points and notched the first 8 shots that came his way in a powerful game for the Bucks. The player pinned 2-of-3 three-pointers and all of his eight shots were hit in the first half.
Love’s longest streak of double-doubles
Kevin Love sealed his name in NBA’s history, as the rebounding machine surpassed Moses Malone’s record of 51 consecutive double-doubles notching his 52nd straight double-double in the contest. The forward/ center pulled out 16 points and grabbed
21 boards as the Timberwolves broke a four-game losing streak and held Indiana Pacers to a 101-75 loss at Target Center.
The player overcame a bruised knee and appeared in the game on a final decision. When asked about how he felt about the record he said, "There are unbreakable records in this league and that is one of them."
Belinelli and Landry in Hornets’ win over Mavericks
Marco Belinelli and Carl Landry were two players who helped the New Orleans Hornets up against the detrimental Dallas Mavericks. Belinelli eased in 21 points notching 4-of-7 three-pointers in the victory. The player finished on an 8-for-15 shooting from
the field in 39 plus minutes of action. Landry came off the bench to pull out 15 points for the shorthanded Hornets.
Sparkling Spurs starters
The San Antonio Spurs’ starting squad gave the most startling shock to the Detroit Pistons as they came forward to receive their share of defeat from the best team of the league. Tony Parker scooped out 23 points, Manu Ginobili pinned 17 whereas Tim Duncan
poured in 15 points to give the Spurs an early lead over the opposition. San Antonio scored 40 points in the very first quarter whereas a good offence from their side held the Pistons to 26 first round points.
When asked about the performance, Ginobili responded by saying, "We knew today that we had to move the ball better, get everybody involved, and I think we did a very good job, especially in the beginning."
Cousins on Howard
Sacramento Kings might have lost, but DeMarcus Cousins made sure that he makes a difference in the contest against Orlando Magic. The player pinned 29 points that matched Dwight Howard’s career best. Cousins finished on an 8-for-16 shooting from the field
and went 13-for-18 from the free throw zone. The game between the two was more of a battle and Howard had to be separated from his Sacramento counterpart because he was leading Orlando into fouls.
