Zachary Robert Guildford lives childhood dream after joining All Blacks - Rugby

Zachary Robert Guildford, the All Blacks wingers since 2010, was surprised to find out that he was still part of the All Blacks squad. Also, Cory Jane and Piri Weepu of the All Blacks will proceed to the Lions' domestic rugby championship game opposite Taranaki
on Saturday, in New Plymouth.
Jane will be filling up for the full-back position and Weepu will be on wing’s spot for the clash scheduled for Saturday, July 16.
Sivivatu from Waikato will fill up for the winger’s spot in the ITM Cup match which is starting from the July 15, 2011 in Rugby Park Stadium Invercargill, New Zealand. ITM Cup is New Zealand’s professional domestic Rugby union competition played annually,
which begins each year in July and wraps up by the end of October or early November.
Guilford will not play any game until Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2011, on home soil in September, whereas some of his All Blacks mates are heading out for different competitions in the month of July.
Guildford acknowledges the fact that the All Blacks is “huge” and by being part of it, one of his childhood dreams has been realised. He has been accredited for his praiseworthy performance with Crusaders in Super Rugby 2011, in which they lost the finals
against Reds on July 9.
All Blacks will be marching into the Tri-Nations Tournament which is kicking off on July 23 where Australia will greet South Africa in Sydney and will wrap up just two weeks ahead of World Cup in New Zealand. This tournament has been perceived as an opportunity
to make up for the loss against Reds in Super Rugby, as Guildford puts it down in the following words, “It's just a case of moving on. We didn't play our best footie over there and that was reflected by us losing the game. It was disappointing but we just
have to put that behind us.”
While discussing the feeling of assembling together before checking out for the game, he said, “It's always a buzz, it's a bit like the first day at school coming in and meeting all the boys again, getting your new gear and stuff like that so it is pretty
exciting."
While talking to a sports company’s representative about the hard work which is required of him, Guildford added, “I just have to keep putting the pressure on where I can. If I knock off for a bit they are going to jump and take positions so I will be looking
to work pretty hard.”
The lessons need to be learnt from the mistakes made in the previous games to improve the forthcoming games which are much bigger, as Guildford suggested that one has to “move on” instead of grieving over the unchangeable.
