Zagora zealous to win Jenny Wiley Stakes
Zagora is zealous to complete her hat-trick by winning the Jenny Wiley Stakes, a Grade 1 contest that is going to be held at Keeneland racecourse on Saturday, April 14.
For the high-voltage race over a distance of 1 mile and 110 yards, the Chad C. Brown-trained veteran mare owns high odds likes the ones she had in her previous two outings.
Zagora is quite confident to compete against 5 rivals including Heavenly Landing, Tapitsfly, Aruna, Daisy Devine and Bay To Bay.
A prize cheque of £116,129 is ready for the runners. The action is scheduled to start at 9:42 (GMT).
Though each of the six contestants seems to be strong enough on the card but Zagora stands above all in terms of her unique racing quality.
The five-year-old talented mare marvellously finished first each in her last two outings. After winning Endeavour Stakes on February 4, 2012 as 9-10 favourite, she went ahead to grab the title of Hillsborough Stakes on March 10 with 4-5 favourite tag.
The maverick sprinter is going to run again with a favourite band today. She is likely to capitalise well on her capabilities and recently-improvised form to make a big impact in the Jenny Wiley Stakes.
Overall, the talented mare possesses an epic track record. She has won 7 out of her total 16 start to date. She started her career with an excellent triumph in August 2009.
In today’s marathon, Zagora is going to show an invincible run in a bid to outplay her competitors. Her chances to finish first are as high as 95 percent.
Out of the mare’s opponents, Tapitsfly and Aruna are also likely to perform well in the race.
Aruna has won 5 out of her total a dozen of starts. H. Graham Motion’s bay and brown mare bagged a big victory in June 2011. She went ahead to grab a runner-up spot in the very next month. The brilliant runner excellently finished first in her second last
outing on October 9.
Tapitsfly elegantly clinched top spot in her last outing on March 18, 2012. Dale Romans’ veteran mare has 4 triumphs to her name including two consecutive wins.
In this situation, Zagora will have to face some arduous challenges in the race. Her effort to cope with those adversities will be amazing to watch. Good luck to the mare.
