Abbas has expressed grave concerns over the way the Men in Green are playing in the ongoing 2nd Test match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, claiming that the team cannot win against the big adversaries with the same brand of the game.
The ex-batsman opines that if a captain leads with a defensive approach and a negative mindset, his players do not struggle hard for victories.
Talking to the media today, Abbas, who played 78 Test and 62 ODI matches in his international career, said, “If a captain has a negative approach, he can’t carry on for long. You need to have a positive and attacking mindset to succeed in contemporary cricket.”
After whitewashing the 3-ODI series and winning the 1st Test match against the Bengali Tigers, Team Pakistan are playing the last game of their tour at Shere Bangla National Stadium. Today is the final day of the match which is likely to end in
a draw, thanks to the resilience of the home side.
According to Abbas, the Cornered Tigers are not demonstrating fighting spirit in this game, therefore, they will not be able to notch up victory.
