Zaheer Khan declared fit for Boxing-Day Test

Zaheer Khan, the Indian fast bowler has been declared fit for the second Test match at Kingsmead in Durban. The news came after India’s heavy defeat in the first Test by a margin of an innings and 25 runs. After the presentation
ceremony, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 confirmed Zaheer’s fitness ahead of the Boxing Day Test.
The Indian pacer missed the first Test at Centurion due to a hamstring injury. However, Zaheer will be returning to Test cricket as India will be taking on the might of the South Africans at Kingsmead in order to level the series.
The 32-year old bowled a spell on the same wicket, where the first Test was played on. In doing so, the left arm bowler looked energetic and rhythmic. India, who suffered a big loss in the inaugural game of the tour, gathered some
consolation news as Zaheer will feature in the next Test’s playing eleven.
Adding to it, this is good news for India as their bowling has struggled in the first game, scalping only four wickets and conceding 620 runs at a run-rate of over four. Currently, Zaheer is the most successful Indian fast bowler
with 261 wickets. Recently, the left-arm swing bowler has been the spearhead of the Indian bowling attack.
Dhoni said, "Zak has been our best bowler who has always led the bowling attack, whatever the conditions may be, whether it is a flat track or a seaming track”.
The Indian captain added, “He is always one bowler who has done really well. It is a blow, but at the same time we have to see the longer picture. We have to think about the World Cup also. We are so close to the World Cup, and
any injury to any of your best 11 players may have a bigger impact, so that's also a bit of a concern. Till we are 100% sure about his fitness and injury, we won't risk playing him."
Zaheer has been training in the nets and he has bowled a decent amount of overs in the net sessions. In addition, he has attended drills with the team physio, Paul Close. Team India is hopeful that their premier pace bowler will
take part in the second Test and as a result, his inclusion in the team will provide strength to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s bowling attack.
In a press conference, Dhoni was asked a question about the poor performance of Suresh Riana. Mahendra defended his youngster and said that he will bounce back in the next match.
The 2nd Test will be played in Durban and Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 has already called for a green pitch. Evidently, if the wicket is a green top for the next game, then the Indian batsmen will be ‘covering for shelter’.
