Zaheer takes a dig at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170 – Cricket News Update
Indian left-armer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Z-Khan-c98379 has taken a dig at Australian veteran, Brad Haddin by claiming that the 34-year-old should focus more on his glove work.
In a war of words between the two, Haddin earlier commented that the Men In Blue crack down under pressure- labelling them a fragile bunch who seem to turn their backs on each other when the chips are down.
The hosts currently have a 2-0 lead in the four-match Test series, and while talks of a whitewash have been turned down, a win against the Indians in their next encounter at Perth will help the hosts claim a much awaited home series win after the capitulation
at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
With the Indians underperforming, Haddin further commented that they have found a way to keep their opponent’s prime asset, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 relatively quiet by bowling enough dot balls which unsettles the free scoring rhythm of the Little Master.
When asked to comment about Haddin’s remarks, Zaheer took a swipe at the Kangaroos’ under firing glove man by claiming that he should focus on his keeping, which to him is more fragile than the Indian team.
"Haddin should focus on his keeping. That looked fragile to me. Since he is doing the talk, it looks like he has been appointed just for that," he said.
The Kangaroos veteran keeper has had a rough time in the opening two encounters where he has been poor behind the stumps. It includes two high profile dropped catches of Indian opening pairing of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/G-Gambhir-c1447 while his batting too has
taken a back seat in recent times.
With the third Test being played at the bounciest track of Perth, it will provide both players (Haddin and Zaheer) a chance to prove match winners for their teams. As the hosts’ look to claim another win to seal India’s fate, the tourists will be hoping
to emulate the same success, which saw them emerge victorious at the same ground in 2008.
The left-armer also added that no combination has been decided yet.
"There are all sorts of possibilities possible. We will look at the pitch a day before the match and then decide the playing XI," added Zaheer.
