Zaka Ashraf arranged farewell for his predecessor Ijaz Butt – Cricket News Update
Zaka Ashraf, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s newly appointed chairman arranged a farewell reception in the honour of former PCB chairman Ijaz Butt, at the National Cricket Academy, on Monday.
The farewell reception was also attended by senior PCB management. Ashraf praised Butt for the services he has been offering Pakistan cricket during his three-year long tenure.
“I am grateful to Ijaz for his valuable contribution to Pakistan cricket. He has done an excellent job despite facing many challenges and I pay tribute to his services for the game," Ashraf said.
Ijaz officially handed the over the charge of cricket affairs to Ashraf in the start of farewell ceremony, after which speeches were delivered by the former as well as well current Chairman. Butt thanked President Asif Ali Zardari,
for his support throughout his tenure.
