Zaka Ashraf wants qualified coaches for every department of the game – Cricket News Update
Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB’s) newly appointed chief Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397 has claimed that the team will get qualified coaches for all three departments of the game in order to gain strength in international cricket.
Pakistan cricket team is currently without a regular coach since http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193 stepped down from the job after the Zimbabwean tour.
Chief selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohsin-Hasan-Khan-c77595 has been working with the team as an interim coach since then and will continue the role until the board finalises a new name.
However, Zaka has revealed in a latest interview that he was not only looking for a single coach, but three specialists.
According to the PCB chairman, “The most important area that I will focus on is the coaching of the team. I would like to have three separate specialist coaches for batting, bowling and fielding. Like the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 teams, which have specialist
coaches, I too would like such a system for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.”
Zaka further went onto say, “We have [advertised] for all the three posts. There is a committee that had already been constituted by my predecessor http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 and they are looking into selecting these coaches. I have requested them to pick three coaches who
are specialists in these departments.”
There is no clarity whether these coaches will be local or foreign, but according to the PCB chief everything will be done on merit. He said that only those candidates will be chosen who fulfil the requirements of the team.
Pakistan cricket team has been doing a decent job recently. The team has been winning matches in all three departments of the game under new skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972.
Currently, the Men in Green are hosting a complete series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE). They have already won the three match Test series by 1-0 whereas the One Day Internationals (ODIs) are currently levelled at 1-1 with three more
games to go.
If Pakistan go onto win the ongoing ODI series, it will be the team’s fourth consecutive series win in the limited-over format.
Earlier, the team has defeated http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 in the 50-over format before taking on Sri Lanka.
