CSKA Moscow 81 - Brose Baskets 78
The freshly crowned November MVP Nenad Krstic led CSKA Moscow with 20 points on 6 for 11 shooting from two-point range and 8 for 11 from free throw line. Viktor Khryapa came off the bench with 19 points on a perfect 5 for 5 shooting
from three –point range, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists in the victory. Alexey Shved had 14 points and pulled down five rebounds while Milos Teodosic ended with 12 points and five assists for Moscow.
Brose Baskets’ Marcus Slaughter netted a game-high 21 points and Anthony Tucker came off the bench with 11 points and six rebounds in the loss. Anton Gavel added 10 points and three rebounds in the third consecutive defeat for
the Brose Baskets.
Viktor Khryapa punctuated 11 of his points in the first quarter– connecting 3 of 3 shots from downtown- as Moscow carried a 25-18 lead into the second. Bothe teams scored 19 points each in the second quarter and CSKA maintained
their seven-point lead at halftime. Brose made a marginal comeback in the third period and trimmed their deficit to three in the last minute of the quarter. Shved scored a lay-up at the buzzer to push their lead to five, 67-62, heading into the fourth.
Brose Basket opened the fourth quarter on an 8-2 run for a 70 – 69 lead within the first five minutes of the quarter. Ramunas Siskauskas and Krstic then scored three points apiece to put Moscow ahead by 75-70. Brose once again
turned it on with an 8-2 spurt and held a point lead with one minute to go. Krstic hit a free throw to knot the game at 78 and Teodosic nailed a brilliant shot from downtown to seal the victory.
Panathinaikos 94 - KK Zagreb 76
Five players reached double figures as Panathinaikos squeaked past KK Zagreb 94-76 for second consecutive victory on November 30, 2011 at OAKA arena in Athens. Zagres saw their two-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 2-5
in Group B of the Turkish Euroleague regular season.
Mike Batiste led the defending champions with a season-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Nick Calathes and David Logan added 13 points each. Romain Sato contributed 12 points and pulled down five rebounds while Ian
Vougioukas ended with 10 points for the Greens.
Damir Mulaomerovic led Zagreb with 18 points while Krunoslav Simon had 15 points and four assists. Sean Gregory May recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while T.J. Ford also posted 12 points in the loss.
Zagreb limited the Greens to 24 points in the first two quarters of the game and held a point lead, 49-48, at halftime. Panathinaikos outscored KK 23-13 in the third quarter and carried a nine-point lead, 71-62, into the last quarter.
Panathinaikos scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter for an 80-62 edge and did not look back.
