The Rosanero chief has suggested that there is no need to delve into speculation linking Balzaretti to other clubs, as it is not his intention to sell the left-back. La Nazionale left-back has featured in the last two matches, showing his balanced game, with fiery attacking prowess combined with diligent defending. Zamparini had offered the former Fiorentina full-back with an extension, but it has been suggested that
negotiations fell through and he does not intend to sign further on.

The Rosanero boss was talking to Radio2 this past Monday and went on to comment on the brief relationship he had with the current Italian national team head coach, Cesare Prandelli.
Prandelli was successful in promoting the team to the Serie A, however, Zamparini decided to part ways with him after a poor start to the 2000-01 Serie A campaign, he went on to comment:
“I sacked him 15 years ago when he was Coach of Venezia. Prandelli was with Venezia one year and five Sundays with me. I excused him because he lost the first five games of the season. If I don’t pay at least two Coaches a year then I’m not happy.”
Prandelli has won a lot of plaudits for his transformation of the Italian side in the Euro 2012 tournament.
