Zdenek Stybar wins the second stage of the Tour of Poland
Zdenek Stybar of Team Omega Pharma-Quickstep bagged an important victory during the stage 2 of the Tour of Poland.
He crossed the finish-line in an impressive time of 5 hours, 1 minute and 51 seconds and restricted his major opponents.
Francesco Gavazzi of Team Astana, Sacha Modolo of Team Colnago-CSF Inox, Michal Kwiatkowski of Team Omega Pharma-Quickstep and Moreno Moser of Team Liquigas-Cannondale secured the next four positions.
The Czech is having a good season with a first place finish during his national Championships and bagged a second overall spot at the Four Days of Dunkirk.
He rode brilliantly during the Four Days of Dunkirk and also succeeded during the stage 4 of the event.
Stybar was delighted after receiving the honours and thanked his team-mates for their endless support during the race.
"I'm very happy, I wanted to win this stage and I managed to do so," said Stybar. "Today's stage crossed the border into the Czech Republic and along the route I was really feeling the love from the home crowds".
“I'm also happy because I won my first UCI WorldTour race. The level here is very high; it's another important step in my career. This victory gave me more confidence”.
“I thank the team, which did a great job. Matteo [Trentin] put me and [Michal] Kwiatkowski in the best position possible before the cobblestones at 1km to go”. 
Zdenek Stybar also achieved the first position with a total number of 20 points, with Francesco Gavazzi of Team Astana claiming the second position.
Fumiyuki Beppu of Team Orica GreenEdge wins the first, the second and the third sprint of the race while Michal Kwiatkowski of Team Omega Pharma-Quickstep secured the fourth sprint of the event.
Moreno Moser of Team Liquigas-Cannondale is still leading the overall classifications with a total lead of 1 second over Michal Kwiatkowski.
Lars Boom of Team Rabobank, Fabian Wegmann of Team Garmin-Sharp and Linus Gerdemann of Team RadioShack-Nissan are holding the next three spots in the respective order.
Moser is also leading the point’s classifications with a total number of 36 UCI points with Michal Kwiatkowski and Sacha Modolo holding the 36 and 34 points respectively.
