The Pescara head-coach has blasted the Turin giants for continuing to complain after every other match, and insisted that Parma were dealt with injustice.
Pescara boss, Zdenek Zeman, has taken a swipe at Juventus’ complains of not being awarded a late penalty in the recent goalless draw against Parma.
The Lady Killers have been extremely critical of the officials for not awarding them penalty-kicks in many games in the ongoing season. Antonio Conte voiced his concerns against the referees after last week’s game against Parma,
and few others also acknowledged his opinion.
Juventus director, Pavel Nedved, and Old Lady midfielder, Andrea Pirlo, have also spoken for the need of referees to be courageous while making critical decisions.
Conte has insisted that his side should have been awarded two penalties, while suggesting that the former Turin striker, Sebastian Giovinco, dived in his claim to win a spot-kick.
Zeman has leapt to the defence of his players persisting that “the only penalty was for the foul on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 coach remarked:
“Conte is moaning, but in my view in that game the only penalty that should’ve been given was for the foul on Giovinco.”
Zeman is also of the opinion that the Old Lady have been getting too many penalties recently, and many of them coming from the pressure they put on the referees. He also blamed the media for creating segmentation between clubs
of different sizes.
While talking on the pressure and the division between the clubs, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 man was quoted to have said,
“I never made distinctions between big and small clubs. It is the media that do that. At least compared to the past we no longer see some teams receiving 20 penalties per season.”
This exchange of words is sure to add fire to the fuel on the issue, and it is expected that Conte will incorporate a reply in his upcoming interviews.
Zeman’s Pescara lead the Serie B standings, while the Turin giants remain atop of the Serie A league table.
