The Giallorossi have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the Lega, and after harbouring such great ambitions they find themselves delved in Serie A mediocrity.
For a side touted to be the contenders for the Scudetto by the end of the season, the Wolves have made a mess of their chances in the Serie A. They have been terrible against the stronger teams in the Lega and have also been on the wrong end of results against
the relatively smaller teams of the Serie A. Their streak of results coupled with the difficulty of some players to adapt to the style of play of their new head coach has piled on the pressure on the players, as well as the manager.
Zdenek Zeman has brought along with himself great expectations, and so far he has not been able to have any positive impact at the club. This has left the club and its management open to much criticism, and each and every decision made by the manager is
coming under increasing amounts of pressure as well; some of those decisions have revolved around the relationship that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112 and Zeman enjoy.
However, more prevalent would be their loss to Parma, their midweek defeat to the Gialloblu has put the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 under a lot of pressure, and the manager of the Giallorossi outfit has gone on to lament the pitch at the Tardini.
He remarked that it was sloppy, and the ball stuck to the ground and did not behave in its orthodox manner. Zeman’s outfits are renowned for passing and moving; trying to find spaces in and around the defence, but they had to change their tactics against
Parma.
Zeman was quoted to have said:
“Today the state of the pitch influenced the result. The puddles meant the ball got stuck at crucial moments during the Parma goals. We had to always play it long and created some chances, but Parma ended up having an easy time defending. It’s a shame about
this defeat.”
Despite the fault with the pitch, the fact of the matter remains that it is 11 against 11, and continuously finding excuses for your losses does little to hide the frailties in the team.
