The Giallorossi manager believes that the Spanish striker is an interesting player that needs to work hard, and has stated that he favours the Argentine as a winger.
Zdenek Zeman has revealed his opinion about Bojan Krkic and Erik Lamela, following a practice match with Val Pusteria that his team won 9-0.
The Czech international replaced Luis Enrique at the helm of the Giallorossi, following the latter’s decision to resign from the club after a disappointing season.
The veteran tactician’s appointment at the capital outfit has a lot to do with the manager’s impressive campaign with Serie B side Pescara, which saw them get promoted to Italy’s top flight.
The practice game was the first chance for the newly appointed coach to see his boys in action, and took some time after the match to give his opinions on AS Roma’s attacking starlets.

“Lamela for me is a winger, an important player with great qualities but he must extract those. He must play more with his teammates.”

The Maggica boss went on to state that he would like to see the Spaniard as a permanent member of the Giallorossi squad, and insisted that the striker has the potential to become a regular scorer for his team.
“Bojan Krkic? I don’t know what people expected from him, but last year he had a good campaign without playing all of the games. He’s an interesting player and I hope to have him in the side as soon as possible. Now he’s playing just for himself and I see
much confusion in him. He scored a good goal but that’s not enough. He’s a boy with great quality and he can score many goals.” Zeman concluded.
