The Siena centre forward has gone on to state that he wanted to keep his dignity intact after the Rossoneri wanted a trial for him before signing the attacker.
The Rossoneri wanted a striker within their ranks and they were linked with several players in the transfer window. They were linked with the former Internazionale player, Mattia Destro, who eventually opted on going to AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 as his next destination.
The hunt for a prolific goal scorer started after Milan agreed to sell their star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 as well; with the valuation of the two
players coming to be around 60 million Euros.
Ze Eduardo was continuously linked with a move to Milan and after a deal was finalised between Milan and Genoa, it was up to the player and the Diavolo to agree upon personal terms. However, there was another stipulation to the signature of the player, as
he found out in the closing days of the window.
The player was supposed to give a trial, to persuade and convince Massimiliano Allegri to go ahead with the signature. It was thought that Allegri had blocked a possible move as he was not on board for signing the striker, but Ze http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eduardo-c12034 had something else
to state.
He mentioned that he got to know of the interest by the Rossoneri when he was playing for the Grifone.  The Siena player also mentioned that things were not exactly as he had thought them to be and remarked that upon hearing of the full story, he thought
it better to reject the move.
He stated that he had a very good contract with the Luigi Ferraris outfit, and was not desperate for a move, and stated:
“I had a good contract with Genoa, so said no to this option. It’s true, I had been injured, but a year ago I was playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858. I do not feel it right, with all due respect, to go to Milan for an audition. I have dignity and
didn’t want to go through a trial run.”
Milan finally went for the signature of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giampaolo-Pazzini-c14802 who they purchased from their bitter rivals, Internazionale.
