The former Bavarian predicted league and cup triumph for Bayern but is unsure over the side’s chances in the UEFA Champions League.
The Munich giants are four points behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga with 11 matches to go in the season. They face Bayer Leverkusen in a tough clash at the weekend which could determine their chances in the league at the
end of the season.
Jupp Heynckes’ side have reached the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal and have also qualified for the last eight in the UEFA Champions League.

insisted that Bayern will be unstoppable once they get in their groove.
The Brazilian international predicted that Jupp Heynckes’ team will get the better of Borussia Monchengladbach in the German cup semi-final and will go on to lift the trophy by beating rivals Dortmund in the final.
“I'm sure [Bayern Munich will win the Bundesliga]. They will not lose three times to Monchengladbach. They will win the Pokal, against Dortmund in the final,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Hamburg midfielder is, however, unsure over Bayern’s chances in Europe this season. He stated that the team will definitely beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 in the second-leg of the Champions League fixture at home despite being 1-0 down
in the first game but insists that it would be difficult for the side to reach the final.
The final of the Champions League this season is to be played at the Allianz Arena, which is the home ground of Bayern Munich.
“In the Champions League, the furthest they will reach is the semi-finals. Against Basel, they will certainly win, but they will probably not reach the final,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will take on Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Saturday, March 3. The visitors will be hoping to win the game as they cannot afford any hiccups at this stage of the season considering Borussia Dortmund have a four
point advantage.
