Zebra finch not well please help?

got male and female zebra finches two weeks ago and they have made a nest, today female layed 3 eggs in nest, just gone to avairy to check on them and female is on the floor pantting and looks unwell, so have picked her up and put her on eggs, what could the problem be and how can i help?

I would definitely call a vet asap!

Take her to vets. She is proablbly egg bound. Meaning egg is stuck that she cannot pass she will die if she does not get somewhre or pass the egg. She also may be calcium defeciant from egg laying. Call er vet and see if they see birds, call pet store, call a wildlife rehabber in yur ara for advice. There are many things you can do to tell if egg is stuck or not. You may be able to help her pass it. best of luck.

Purchase a book and read about the Zebra finches. You can't breed any kind of birds if you you don't know what you are doing. They don't lay three eggs in one day. You must be observant so you know when the birds started sitting. How do you know when to start feeding soft food if you don't know when they started to brood. It sounds like the hen could be egg bound. I won't even begin to explain to you how to steam a hen. You don't build up steam in the bathroom, that is for sure.
