Question:

Zecco.com Stock site?

I'm interested in getting a few stocks through zecco.com. I see they have a special of getting 10 free exchanges per month if you have over $2500 invested... but don't want to put that much into it.

Does anyone know what it cost per trade if I have a couple hundred dollars invested? Thanks!

  2. You should just put $2500 into it, but don't use all of it.

Having said that, if you can only afford to put in a couple of hundred, the charges are $4.50 per trade.

With a couple hundred, you will not be able to buy many shares, and consequently the fee is very high ( on a per share basis ).

  3. If you have only a few hundred to invest, it's better not to bother with individual stocks -- just buy a single ETF or skip all that and invest in a broad mutual fund, then start increasing your investments until you have a more substantial amount to invest.

  4. I like Scottrade

$7 a trade (buy or sell), regardless the amount
