Zelda OOT Shadow Temple?

It's been a while since I've played this game, and I've come back to do a 3 heart challenge. I'm at the shadow temple, and was wondering if the lens of truth is needed at all or if it can be missed. I know there's a moving platform that'll be hard to hit without it, but was wondering if I could beat bongobongo without them

Nope, you need them. I tried it, totally imposible without them.

Nope, you can't beat Bongo Bongo without the Lens of Truth. I tried once; failed miserably.
