Zdenek Zeman, former head coach of Pescara, has remarked on the uneasy relationship he has with the vice captain of AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, and his hopes of improving on it
The troubles of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112 and the new coaching staff of AS Roma has been covered quite a lot. After justifying not playing De Rossi in the midfield, it emerged that the player had a training ground bust up with the Giallorossi coach which further
strained relations between the two.
Despite all the speculation in the media, Zeman has gone on to quash all reports that the player and the coach are in dispute. He did concede that he was not happy with the claims made by the experienced campaigner in the aftermath of the loss to the Bianconeri
outfit, he stated that issue is in the past. De Rossi had gone on to state that it was not fair to increase the expectations of the followers of the team, and not raise it even before the season started.
After the appointment of Zeman, talks started in the media regarding their challenge to the Scudetto; and De Rossi was against that. He had stated that it was misleading and not the right thing to do. Zeman commented on the performance of the team and stated
that the team has been training well, and reflected on how hard De Rossi was performing. He mentioned that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 vice captain was looking good, and he was hoping that he would continue the hard work in the future as well.
While commenting on the indifferent start to the season by De Rossi, he gave his own verdict and remarked on the issues that might have led to this. He was quoted to have said:
“Will he play against Fiorentina this weekend? He is training with real effort and you never know during the week who will be in better or worse shape. I hope he will be in better shape. I don’t know why his start to the season has not been great, you could
have many theories. Perhaps he was disturbed by the rumours at the start of the season, those reports that he was or wasn’t right for Roma, that Manchester City wanted him... That can influence a player.”
There are a number of clubs interested in the player with reports linked him to Paris as well.
