The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 central midfielder is improving his fitness with the Bundesliga outfit and has rejoined his previous Liverpool team-mate Sami Hyypia at the Bayer Leverkusen training camp.
The experienced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international Boudewijn Zenden is currently out of work and as a result, decided to train with friend Sami Hyypia’s Bayer Leverkusen team as he looks to keep fit to find a new suitor. The veteran attacker
has played for a number of top European clubs such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281, Liverpool and Marseille in his top-flight career.
The winger is in search of a new team after declining a contract extension from English Premier League side Sunderland by suggesting that he wants to prolong his career and the English League is too physical for his age. The 36-year-old
left the Black Cats in 2011 and also discussed a prospective move with Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385.
The classy midfield player will now practice with Leverkusen for a week to regain his fitness. He was a former team-mate of the Lions' general manager Hyypia in the Premier League and requested his former colleague to let him prepare
with the Werkself outfit.
"I recently asked Sami if I could join the team for training," Zenden was quoted as saying in an interview.
The midfielder stated that he will improve his stamina with the Bundesliga club for a few days and is grateful to the side for the chance. The training ground is also close to the player’s house.
"Now, I am going to keep up my fitness by training with Bayer Leverkusen for about a week. I am very thankful I have been granted the opportunity to do so,” the 2007 UEFA Champions League runner-up added.
"I live in Maastricht actually, so this is also a perfect fit in this respect," the former Dutch star mused.

The club official is pleased to let his compatriot gain his fitness with the Factory Squad, even though, they are not going to make a move for the Dutch player. He further added that he has been in touch with Zenden since their
