Zenit St. Petersburg are a strong team but Lokomotiv Moscow will play to win, claims Jose Couceiro
Lokomotiv Moscow head coach, Jose Couceiro, has admitted that Zenit St. Petersburg are a difficult side to play against but insisted that the Lokhi are going to give them a difficult time in their upcoming Russian Premier League tie at home.
The Portuguese tactician revealed that the Lokhi are practising hard in their training sessions in order to outplay the Bomzhi. Couceiro believes that the Parovozy are enjoying top form at the moment and this is the right time to display their ambitions
by defeating the league leaders.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Filtsov-c4564, is ready to play against the Meshki following the absence of Lokomotiv first choice goalkeeper, Guilherme Marinato. The former Portuguese national insisted
that he has complete trust in squad that they will claim three points against the league leaders.
“Zenit are a very strong team, but we're playing at home and expect to win. We have a good squad and the future is definitely bright for this club. I cannot say who will be in line against Zenit. At the moment, Guilherme is not ready, but who knows what
will happen in two days. Filtsov in this championship had two games and there's no problem if he plays on Saturday. I trust all the goalkeepers that are in my possession. It will be difficult, but we will try and I promise that the players will do their best
to win this game.” The boss was quoted as saying.
Couceiro revealed that when he moved to the Moscow-based club, Lokhi were at the bottom of the league table, far behind CSKA Moscow and had won a single match from their last seven fixtures. He admitted that the situation has changed over the past two months
and the Parovozy have managed to claim enough points from their last six encounters.
The 48-year-old emphasized that Lokhi need to gain stability after claiming a series of good results and insisted that the Red-Greens are going to compete for trophies in the near future.
