Luis Neto has hailed the Russian Premier League club’s performance in the Russian Cup quarter-final against Kuban Krasnodar and has urged his side to show consistency
Zenit St. Petersburg managed to reach the semi-finals of the Russian Cup after defeating Kuban Krasnodar on a penalty shoot-out at Petrovksy stadium on Wednesday.
Though the defending Russian Premier League champions dominated the cup tie against the Krasnodar-based club at home, they failed to score even after extra time and the outcome of the match was decided on spot kicks.
Zenit defender, Luis Neto, has hailed the St. Petersburg club’s performance in the respective match after insisting that they kept their composure and showed that they deserved to go through to the next round of the competition.

The Brazilian striker, who won the accolade for Zenit’s best player last month, helped the Russian outfit in winning two consecutive league meetings against Mordovia Saransk and Krylia Sovetov Samara after scoring in each of the

“I was replaced because I felt some pain in my leg. I was not feeling comfortable at all. But I think it's nothing serious. Tomorrow, I have a meeting with the doctor. I think everything will be fine.” The Portuguese defender concluded.
The 23-year-old went on to pay tribute to the travelling fans, appreciating their chants and assured them of a quick recovering from the recent injury.
