Zenit St. Petersburg planning http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danko-Lazovic-c10188 sale to finance a move for Fiorentina’s Juan Vargas
Rumours linking Zenit St. Petersburg’s Danko Lazovic with a move to fellow Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, are not far from the truth. The Bomzhi are considering offloading the Serbian in order to sign ACF Fiorentina midfielder, Juan Vargas, according to
reports.
In speculations are to be believed, Lazovic has fallen out with the Meshki head coach, Luciano Spalletti, and wants to leave the Russian club. The conflict between Spalletti and the Bomzhi leading goalscorer hit the headlines after the match against CSKA
Moscow. As a result of the dispute, Lazovic was not even included in the league encounter against Spartak Nalchik at Khimki Stadium.
While Zenit are yet to comment on these reports, reports suggest that Spalletti has already found a replacement for his scandalous player. It is likely that the Meshki would go after the signature of Peruvian wing wizard, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juan-Manuel-Vargas-c19785, in the coming
days.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ACF-Fiorentina-c38209 are demanding around 24 million Euros for their prized asset. The Athletic director of Fiorentina, Pantaleo Corvino, admitted that the club are in negotiations with an unnamed club for the transfer of the former Catania midfielder.
“We are at the stage of negotiations and the transition can occur at any time. An important factor will certainly be the opinion of the player.” The Italian was quoted as saying.
Negotiations between Zenit and Fiorentina for Vargas previously took place in the winter, but the Bomzhi backed out after failing to meet the valuation of the player set by the Italian club.
Juventus FC then appeared as potential suitors for Vargas but the Turin club were also rebuffed by the Viola.
While both clubs (Fiorentina and Zenit) are negotiating on the price of the football player, Spalletti has reportedly met Vargas and tried to convince the Peruvian national by revealing the club’s ambitions, keeping in mind that the Peruvian had highlighted
his wish to play for an ambitious club.
“The goal of every player is to win, not only individually, but mutually. That's why if I will change the club, I will move to an ambitious team.” Vargas has said.
With a great eye for goal and deadly crossing ability, Vargas is easily one of the best wingers in Serie A, and can surely be a success in Russia.
The 27-Year-Old is already famous in Europe after scoring a decisive ‘goal of the match’ against Olympique Lyon in the group stages of UEFA Champions League. Fiorentina reached the last sixteen of the competition in the 2009/10 season and were knocked-out
by eventual finalists Bayern Munich.
The only hindrance in the way of his transfer is the sale of Danko Lazovic to the Wild Division. Owing to their poor striker force, Anzhi Makhachkala are interested in the Serbian international. Anzhi president, Suleyman Kerimov, is considering splashing
some cash for the proven goalscorer. With Samuel Eto’o also reportedly on his way to Russia, Lazovic would form a superb partnership. Zenit will land Vargas, on the other hand, rendering it a beneficial deal for all parties involved.
