Zenit St. Petersburg striker, Aleksandr Bukharov, has assured the fans of a neat performance hoping for a starting berth in the upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage game against Apoel FC at Petrovsky stadium.
Bukharov is in contention to start the European fixture along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kerzhakov-c4569 is out injured. Kerzhakov has not yet recovered from the knee injury that he
sustained against Spartak Moscow.
Zenit head coach, Luciano Spalletti, also confirmed his absence in the upcoming Champions League clash, admitting that the former Dynamo Moscow player has failed to recover in time for the European tie.
The fact that the Meshki have drawn their recent Russian Premier League encounter 0-0 against Anzhi Makhachkala does not seem to bother the Russian striker, who believes that the league matches are completely different from the

Zenit have lost once in the ongoing Champions League campaign and as things stand they are at the second spot on the group table. Bukharov is of the opinion that group G has become tighter than ever, and the teas' fates will be

The Russian national went on to admire the tactical side of Luciano Spalletti, admitting that the Italian tactician has the capability to lead the Russian outfit to the later rounds of the tournament.
Speaking on his favourite European goal, the promising forward highlighted his goal against Hapoel Tel Aviv in the UEFA Europa League last year.
However, the star striker has failed to get his name on to the Champions League score sheet this term, only providing an assist against Shakhtar Donetsk.
“I want to score in the Champions League. In this tournament I have not excelled. I had some good chances but I failed to convert them. I want to write my name into the history of Champions League.” The former FC Chernomorets Novorossiysk
player was quoted as saying.
The Russian national is desperate to alter the statistics and assured the fans of a fabulous performance in the remaining group stage matches.
