break to take a seemingly unassailable lead.
Though the Krasno-chyornye bounced back and scored another with ten minutes to go before the final whistle, the Zenit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 stood firm for the remainder of the game.
Bruno Alves, who won the Portuguese cup three times during his time at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186, has urged the Sine-Belo-Golubye to take their chances well in order to win the Russian Cup under the Italian head coach, Luciano Spalletti.
Alves holds that the Cup tournament has not lost its pride and revealed that the tournament holds a lot of respect.
The 29-year-old revealed that although Khimki are at the bottom of the Russian First Division, the team played quality football against an underperforming Zenit.
“We scored first, but Khimki are not a bad team, they got together and scored twice. We made a few mistakes which can be corrected. Teams from the first and second leagues now play at the same level, they have everything well organized; have good players,
confidence and working conditions. Even weak teams can get together and play well. Of course, Zenit are not in top shape, we can be much better.” Alves was quoted as saying.
The former AEK Athens defender admitted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tomáš-Hubocan-c35262 were out of position at several occasions in the match. Alves bemoaned conceding twice to an inferior unit and insisted that the team need to work on some areas
