Zenit St. Petersburg’s Bruno Alves tips Dynamo Moscow as Russian Premier League contenders
Zenit St. Petersburg defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-Alves-c8108, believes Dynamo Moscow are amongst the frontrunners to win the Russian Premier League this season. Alves admitted that it will be very difficult for Zenit to retain the league title but the Bomzhi will be fighting
for every point on the pitch under their head coach, Luciano Spalletti.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 stopper lauded Dynamo Moscow’s performances by revealing that the Dinamiki are playing quality football at the moment under Sergei Silkin and they are amongst the contenders to win silverware this season.
Alves believes that the Moscow clubs, Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow, are also trying to break into the top five positions in order to the play in UEFA’s European competitions.
“I must say that I was very impressed with the transformation of Dynamo after the change of coach. They should be treated with the utmost seriousness and they deserve their position among the leaders. I think Lokomotiv and Spartacus will be fighting for
European places.” The Portuguese cup winner was quoted as saying.
The Portuguese national is currently preparing for a home fixture against Spartak Nalchik at Petrovsky Stadium. The Bomzhi’s last meeting with the Orly was worth watching; Spartak came from behind to score an injury time dramatic equalizer, making the final
score 2-2.
“Despite the occupied place, I think Spartacus is a good team. The Southerners have proved their abilities in our last meeting, when they robbed two points from us at Khazar Stadium.” The former AEK Athens central defender concluded.
Despite the draw, the former Farense stopper believes that Spartak Nalchik are developing under Sergei Tashuev and they will only get better with the time.
Zenit won their last league clash against Anzhi Makhachkala with a 2-0 score line, and Alves has hailed the team performance, expressing delight at bettering a very tough opponent away from home.
Zenit are desperately waiting for their next meeting to grab the much needed three points, which will help them edge closer to the league leaders, CSKA Moscow.
