The Brazilian national has shrugged off rumours, saying that he is happy at Petrovsky stadium despite a tug-of-war with Luciano Spalletti over lack of playing time
Zenit St. Petersburg striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436, has denied the rumours linking him with a host of top European clubs this winter after insisting that he is happy to work under Luciano Spalletti despite a recent controversy.
The Brazilian striker, who moved to the St. Petersburg club from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 this summer, refused to shake hands with the manager after he was being replaced during Zenit’s 1-0 win in the UEFA Champions League tie against AC Milan
at San Siro.
The mercurial forward, who won the 'Player of the Year' award during 2010-11 and 2011-12 respectively, was replaced by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Konstantin-Zyryanov-c21312 on 80th minute of the final group stage match.
Since then, the news in Russia media linked the former Tokyo Verdy player with a host of top European clubs including Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Anzhi Makhachkala respectively.
However, the 26-yearold has poured water on such reports after telling that he has resolved any potential disagreement with the manager after making his situation clear to the club’s management.
“My reaction was not intentional because more than anything, I love to play football and to do everything possible to make my team win. If I behaved wrong, I am ready to apologize.”
“I moved to Zenit in order to play and win and not to walk around the beautiful city or make a lot of money.”
“I met with the coach and the leadership of the club to resolve all the issues. I was disappointed because I have never been substituted in back-to-back matches in my life but I think everything is in order now," the UEFA Europa
League winner was quoted as saying.
And now that the Russian outfit is out of the Champions League despite winning their last group stage match against the Milan-based club on the away turf, Hulk went on to tell that he is now working hard as ever to help his new
club in winning the league title this season.
