With only two games left to play in the season, Zenit St. Petersburg will take on Anzhi Makhachkala in the upcoming Russian Premier League encounter at Petrovsky Stadium.
The Meshki midfielder, Sergei Semak, is of the belief that St. Petersburg club will fight for all three points against the Dagestani club.
Semak, who was transferred in from Rubin Kazan last year, admitted that Zenit are flourishing under Luciano Spalletti and tipped them to retain the league title under the former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 boss.
The Russian national went on to praise Spalletti, admitting that the Italian tactician has all the attributes to lead the Russian outfit to glory.
The fact that the Dagestani club will operate under acting head coach, Andrei Gordeyev, on Friday night does not seem to bother the Russian Cup winner, who said:
“I think everyone knows Gordeyev, as a good specialist. He has proven himself at Saturn Moscow Oblast and now, judging by the reviews of the team players, he is treated with respect.”
He added: "Anzhi have quality players which can decide the fate of the match. It seems to me that they will act like they have always been.”

Zenit had initially been trailing CSKA Moscow during the first round but managed to leapfrog them into the lead in the second round. The 35-year-old went on to praise the Russian outfit for their terrific display during the second
round of the Russian championship.
The Russian national insisted that the Russian Football Union need to adapt to western calendar in setting up league fixtures for all the Russian outfits in a bid to improve the level of Russian Football.
Speaking on Zenit’s UEFA Champions League performance, Semak is of the opinion that St. Petersburg need to focus on the remaining group stage matches.
Zenit need to alter their performances following their boring 1-1 draw against Kuban Krasnodar in the latest league tie.
