The Brazilian striker has expressed his satisfaction after winning the latest Russian Premier League tie 2-0 against FC Krasnodar at Kuban Stadium
Zenit St. Petersburg managed to win the latest round of Russian Premier League action 2-0 against Krasnodar on Sunday. The St. Petersburg club remained winless in the league since their 3-0 win against Mordovia Saransk back in
August.
And while the defending league champions are yet to record a win in the UEFA Champions League after losing their opening two group stage games against Malaga CF and AC Milan respectively, Hulk sees no reason why Zenit cannot progress
to the later stages of the tournament.
As things stand, Zenit are at the bottom-spot on their respective group table and trail the group leaders, Malaga, by six points.
“Both matches were good. We lost against Milan but deserved a different result. But we have altered the situation for now after winning the league match. I think this win is in terms of regaining confidence and increasing team
spirit.”
“In the game, I felt great. Yes, it was a fundamental game, and we needed to score points, but nothing is lost.” The UEFA Europa League winner was quoted as saying.
The Brazilian national, who joined the Russian outfit from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 during the summer transfer window for a reported 60 million Euros, has scored four goals until now, including a screamer against the Milan-based club in the European
tournament.
Hulk went on to tell that he is accustomed to playing physical football, saying that he learnt to use his strength against the defenders during his stay at Porto. The Brazilian national warned the defenders not to make harsh tackle
or they will receive a similar treatment.
“There is nothing good in making bad tackles. I know playing physically can sometimes help you make the difference. I always expect that the judge will see and properly sort out such moments.” The former Tokyo Verdy player concluded.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 insisted that Zenit can still reach the later stages of the continental tournament despite losing the opening two games. He urged his teammates to win the remaining group stage matches in the cup competition.
