Gennady Orlov believes the Manchester City and Chelsea strikers will not benefit the Russian Premier League winners.
Reports in Russia suggest that Zenit St. Petersburg are set to sign Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romelu-Lukaku-c31672 during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The ill disciplined Italian striker, Balotelli, and out-of-favour Belgian forward, Lukaku, may join the Russian Premier League club in search of more playing time despite moving to the England last year.
Balotelli’s days at Etihad stadium are said to be numbered after Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 told the media that the scandalous striker has no future at the Manchester club.
Lukaku, on the other hand, has failed to impress at the North London club since making a 13 million pound move from Anderlecht last year. The Belgian attacker is losing his patience with the English outfit after being provided
a measly 6 starts this season.
Zenit are reportedly looking to add strikers during summer after their head coach Luciano Spalletti hinted at summer arrivals earlier this week.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 tactician, who recently extended his stay at Petrovsky stadium, wants to replace the dead wood at Petrovsky by strengthening his side offensively.
The fact that Chelsea and City are unlikely to keep Lukaku and Balotelli at Stamford Bridge and Etihad Stadium respectively beyond the end of the season has alerted the Russian outfit, as they want a permanent solution to their
offensive problems.
Former Zenit attacking midfielder, Gennady Orlov, has revealed that Balotelli and Lukaku are not the solutions to the problems at the St. Petersburg club, admitting that they will not benefit the Russian outfit.
“Balotelli is not appropriate for Zenit because the Meshki will not sign the Italian due to his scandalous reputation.
“I think Lukaku is not good enough to replace Kerzhakov and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 at the moment. The Belgian is yet to prove himself at the Stamford Bridge.” The former Dinamo Leningrad player was quoted as saying.
Orlov went on to admit that Zenit need to work very hard to find an appropriate striker during the summer.
