In the aftermath of the outcome, Roman Shirokov has hailed his side’s performance against the Moscow-based club, admitting that it was difficult to cope up with the pressure playing with a numerical disadvantage.
“Of course, we are pleased at the moment after becoming the Russian champions. We will think about the next match tomorrow. I want to congratulate all our fans over the victory! I hope that we will continue winning trophies here.
"But I think the championship is not over yet because there are teams fighting for places. I think it’s difficult to separate the top-eight teams.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted a saying.

Shirokov revealed that Zenit will try to continue decent domestic run by winning the upcoming game against Rubin Kazan. He went on to admit that there’s still room for improvement and they can do much better in the remaining games
of the ongoing campaign.
