Zenit’s Spalletti laments Denisov’s departure despite signing Tymoschuk and Arshavin – Football News
Zenit St. Petersburg head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti, has bemoaned Igor Denisov’s departure from the Russian Premier League club and talked about Anatoliy Tymoschuk and Andrei Arshavin’s return to the St. Petersburg club this summer.
“When we signed Tymoschuk, we did not know that Denisov will leave this summer. I think Denisov is a brilliant and strong player. We will see what happen at the end of the next season but I can tell you that we will miss him. I
have no hard feelings for the player because I believe that everyone is free to make his own choice. Igor has made his choice and we sincerely wish him luck. We have now signed Arshavin who did not play much in the last two years. I hope he will rediscover

Denisov, who stayed more than ten years after coming through the academy ranks at Petrovsky stadium, joined Anzhi Makhachkala for reportedly 15 million Euros earlier this week.
The 29-year-old’s departure left a big question mark at the management of the club, with whom Denisov was not satisfied at all. The Russian midfielder was restricted to enter the pitch until he apologized for his misbehaviour following
wage issue.
If speculations are to be believed, Denisov threatened the management of the club to increase his salary or he will not play for the club again after Zenit made http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Axel-Witsel-c7029 the club’s highest paid players.

Zenit signed Arshavin, who signed a two-year contract, yesterday having already signed Tymoschuk earlier this month. Spalletti hoped that Arshavin will rediscover his old form in the near future after saying that he has given the
striker another life line to revive his career.
Speaking on Tymoschuk’s return, Spalletti said that he did not sign Tymoschuk as a potential replacement for Denisov.
